Plugs and Sockets
Plugs and sockets meet an electrical need—they are the components used to connect electrical equipment to a power supply without tools.
It’s essential to include the correct plug and/or socket in the product design according to what is used in the country it is being exported to. Interpower assists in designing, building, and maintaining products for global markets by offering various plug patterns used around the world.
Common Plug Patterns Available at Interpower
Below are some of the plug patterns available at Interpower. Most plugs are available as a molded power cord or cord set and many are available as rewireable. Interpower plugs and sockets are designed to meet electrical needs around the world. Please note that one plug pattern may be used in a number of other countries besides the one(s) listed. Product specifications can be found on the website for each of the plugs and sockets available through Interpower. These may include dimensions, panel cut-outs, wire strip lengths, proper wiring information, flammability ratings, and maximum ratings for amperage and voltage. Most Interpower products have agency approvals. Documentation helps to make it easier for a customer to get agency approval on the final product when submitting it to a safety testing agency.
